Società Dante Alighieri's New Backend Solution

At Alphaport, we are not just developers; we are also explorers. Over the past few months, we have immersed ourselves in the world of Italian language and culture and had the privilege of collaborating with the Società Dante Alighieri to revamp their backend and internal processes.
The Società Dante Alighieri is a global network dedicated to promoting the Italian language and culture. With a branch in Salzburg, it offers its members exciting Italian courses, cultural events, and language certificates. Despite having a clear vision and offering a rich array of educational and cultural events, the Società Dante Alighieri faced challenges with their existing backend, which relied on Excel spreadsheets and user-unfriendly software for activity management.
With espressos in hand and hearts full of motivation, we got to work and implemented the following changes for this unique educational institution:
Event Management One of the highlights of our project was the redesign of their event management. In the new backend, you'll find a comprehensive overview of all the events offered by Società Dante Alighieri. There, you can access information about event types, instructors, fees, start and end times, participant numbers, and much more. But that's not all! An integrated calendar in the backend provides a structured overview of every room and the events taking place there. Additionally, room requests and double bookings are automatically detected and displayed.
Member Management Members are the heart and soul of Società Dante Alighieri. That's why you'll find a comprehensive member management system in the new, tailored backend. Here, you can access all the necessary information about instructors, including contact details, social security numbers, and banking information. A clear list of all customers with relevant information such as membership numbers, billing addresses, and contact details is also available. Furthermore, we've integrated a category for "members" that includes not only instructors and customers but also other important individuals like sponsors. Adding new members is effortless, ensuring a constant overview of all organization members.
Accounting But we didn't stop at event and member management; we also integrated an accounting platform into the new backend. While accounting used to be handled separately, it is now seamlessly integrated into all other processes of the Società Dante Alighieri. In the tailored backend, you can view all transactions, create new ones, and download various Excel sheets with just a click. From financial statements to profit and loss statements, everything needed for comprehensive bookkeeping is available here. Separate accounting software is no longer required.
Customization We understand that every client has unique needs. That's why we've developed a customized setting feature that allows the backend to be tailored precisely to the client's needs. Whether it's tags for different event types, room definitions, or membership categories – everything can be easily and clearly set up by the client themselves. Once configured in the settings, these customizations are applied throughout the entire backend, ensuring it's perfectly aligned with the organization's requirements.
