We believe that the saying "He who rests, rusts" is a gross misconception, or at best a bad translation. Instead, our personal office motto is "He who rests, rests!". After all, we can't avoid spending a good third of our lives in bed; that alone should motivate us to show sleep the appreciation it deserves.

Sleep is not just crucial for our physical and mental regeneration, but also helps to strengthen the immune system and promote cognitive performance. However, we often only realize the value of sleep once we miss it.

Good sleep hygiene is essential to prevent this from happening in the first place. This includes following a sleep routine, avoiding blue light before going to bed and using an effective sleep system. Our partner Hütter has developed just such a sleep system: the "Q-Schlafsystem” (the "Q sleep system").

To make it even easier to customize the Q-Sleeping System, Alphaport developed a technology to be used by resellers, consisting of the Q-Sleeping-Configurator and the Q-Sleeping-Simulator. With this technology, even the less experienced salesperson can now measure customers and sell them customized Q-Sleeping Systems.

The Q-Sleep-Configurator is a tablet app that is used to accurately determine individual customer needs. The tablet is connected to the Q-Sleeping-Simulator, a bed base equipped with a Raspberry PI and a matrix of 20x9 pressure sensors. These pressure sensors are movable blocks with up to five different degrees of firmness that adapt perfectly to the customer's body shape. With this special sensor spring base, the user's weight distribution on the mattress can be measured and the ideal distribution of body weight determined. This supports and optimizes posture during sleep and provides ideal pressure relief. The interaction between the bed base and the app also allows specific needs to be addressed, such as back, hip or shoulder problems and hands that fall asleep. After taking precise measurements of the body, the system calculates the best variant from over 368,000 options to create a tailor-made sleep system for each customer.

The test beds equipped with the Q-Sleeping-Simulator are available at selected retailers. Customers can test lie there and determine pressure points and requirements together with the expert, as well as make change requests if the bed base is not yet 100% correctly adjusted to their lying position. The end result of this trial? An individual bed base perfectly adapted to your own body plus a foam base for home use!

The Q sleep system represents an innovative symbiosis of state-of-the-art technology and individual comfort. Through precise measurements, customized configurations and the possibility to test the sleep system before final production, we create a unique connection between science and personal well-being.
